Makeup has always fascinated Genelle. Even as a child in the Pacific Northwest, she recognized how it could complement a face. Although her mother didn’t allow Genelle to wear cosmetics until she was in high school, her gift for selecting colors, highlighting stellar features and downplaying others stood out.

By 19, she landed her first beauty industry job in Portland teaching corporate wives how to apply makeup for social events. Genelle was hooked. Since then, she’s spent 21 years in the industry, working for notable companies such as Clarins, Estée Lauder and most recently makeup artist extrordinaire Bobbi Brown.

In fact, while working with Bobbi Brown at a Colorado event in 2003 that Genelle decided to focus her passion for makeup and skincare into her own independent business presently located within Friends Salon & Spa in Happy Valley, Oregon ...yes, you can actually make an appointment with Genelle!
