Always wear some kind of sunscreen above 15.
Always know how to prep your skin with skincare before makeup.
Never cover up a blemish with concealer. A concealer is meant for under the eyes to highlight and brighten, it will only highlight & brighten your pimple. Use foundation the same color as your skin tone.
When lining your eyes never line just the lower lashline, it drags the eyes down creating a tired look.
Always coordinate your blush and lipstick with the same under tones....warm blush, warm lipstick and cool blush, cool lipstick. There are many options in each group.
When your over 40 never wear glitter but very fine shimmer is okay just don't over do it but have fun with it.
When filling in brows use a brow brush with a eyeshadow color that mimics the low lights that's in your hair, not only does it look more natural because the shadow fills in the hairs as well as the skin but it will also match your immediate coloring.
When applying concealer and/or liquid foundation press & roll it onto the skin, if you rub or wipe it on you'll be rubbing it away from the area your trying to cover.
Do wash twice a day. Not only to remove dirt, debris and makeup in the evening but to remove excess oils from the pillow at night.
Do wear a glycolic eye cream at night to smooth out fine lines and a hydrating eye cream during the day for under your eyes, it sets the stage for concealer.
Do NOT wear concealer on your eyelids during the day because it will crease your shadow, liner and mascara.
