Ditch The Contouring with 4 Stunning Holiday Looks For You From AW 25 Runway Show

Not sure how to do your makeup for the holiday party this year? If you’re tired of the usual eyeliner flicks and want to avoid cliché glitter, you’re not alone. Many women of the PNW and beyond are looking for fresh, fashion-forward inspiration that feels easy and natural. Contouring might seem like the go-to, but let’s be honest: unless a Kardashian invites you on their show, heavy contouring can feel like a lot—and it often ages the face rather than enhances it. For makeup enthusiasts and skin care enthusiasts alike, the key is to highlight your natural beauty without overdoing it.

This season, the AW (Autumn/Winter) 25 runway shows, especially Victoria Beckham’s, offer some amazing looks that are both stunning and simple to recreate. Whether you’re a lipstick wearer or a lip gloss lover, these four holiday makeup ideas will help you stand out without feeling overdone.

1. Glowing Skin with a Soft Lip

The first look to try is all about radiant skin paired with a soft lips. Victoria Beckham’s models showed us that you don’t need heavy contouring to look polished. Instead, focus on hydrated, glowing skin. Use a lightweight, luminous foundation or tinted moisturizer that lets your natural skin shine through. Add a touch of cream highlighter on the high points of your face—cheekbones, brow bones, and the bridge of your nose.

For the lips, pick a neutral or pink lipstick. This look is perfect for those who want to make a statement without fuss! Keep the eyes simple with just a few coats of mascara and a soft, neutral eyeshadow.

Tips for skin care enthusiasts:

  • Use a gentle exfoliator a day before to smooth texture. Glow Mask or Luxe Oxygen Peel.

  • Prep your skin mixing Luxe Potion and Luxe Serum (light on the serum) Hydra Bomb Eye Cream before makeup.

  • Use Face It Skin Tinted Moisturizer and Dual Action Concealer (has caffeine to keep eyes awake!)

  • After eyeliner and mascara are on use Adore Color Stick on lips and cheeks using your fingers.

  • To finish this look or any look use our Highlight + Glow Compact down the bridge of the nose, above cheeks bones rounding upward towards the outside of your brow area (temple). This is typically done by all pro makeup artists. I prefer highlighting over contouring for everyday. It's more subtle.

2. Soft Smoky Eyes with Nude Lips for a Holiday Look

Model Alexa Chung wears this well. I love this look! If you want to mix things up from your usual everyday eyeliner or even use eyeliner for the first time, try a soft smoky eye with nude lips. This look is sophisticated and flattering for all ages, especially for women over 40 who want to add depth without harsh lines.

Woman with dark hair poses in a strapless black dress, wearing a gold watch with jewels, against a beige background. Neutral expression.

Use a soft shade eyeshadow to create a smoky effect by blending it along the lash line and into the crease. Look at Pink Bronze. It is more sheer than it looks. Use Chocolate Gel Eyeliner heavy eyeliner and smudge over the top Bronze Eye Shadow to tightline your eyes for subtle definition. Finish with Luxetastic volumizing mascara.

For lips, at Smitten or Sublime Color Stick or nude lip gloss or a soft cool beige-pink lipstick. Use these Color Sticks on cheeks too! Top it off with a touch of Luxury Hybrid Gloss is Skinny Dip. Use it just in the middle of your lips as it works well for lip lovers who want a fresh, natural finish.

Notice how the model is highlighted on forehead between brows, down the bridge of the nose, corner of her eyes and around the lip line. Use Eye & Lip Brightening Pencil to do this. It makes the lips look fuller, eyes wider and nose soft.

3. Go Nude!

Not literally LOL! For those who want to try something nude but still noticeable with realistic contouring, soft dark eyeliner is a great choice. Victoria Beckham’s show featured sharp, clean lines that add an artistic edge to the look.

Use a liquid or gel eyeliner to create geometric shapes or extended wings. Keep the rest of your face minimal—soft blush and minimal contour, and let your skin breathe. Pair this with bare lips or just a clear lip gloss to keep the focus on your eyes.

To get the look use Chocolate or Black Pearl Waterproof Gel Liner with 2 to 3 coats of Luxetastic Lash Mascara. Use Color Stick Rideordie or Zoe on cheeks and lips followed with Naked Waterproof Lip Liner. Contour just below the cheek bone but hugging the cheek with Clay Powder.

Pro tips:

  • Practice your eyeliner on the back of your hand before applying. Note, model is wearing black hugging the lashes on top and brown on lower lash line.

  • Use our small angled brush for precision or smudge brush (my favorite).

  • Don't forget to fill in your eyebrows or get them tinted! You can use our Brow Ink or make an appointment for a tint that last a month!

4. Monochrome Warm Pink Tones

The final look is a monochrome style using warm pink tones on eyes, cheeks, and lips. This creates a harmonious, polished appearance without heavy contouring and is my favorite. This model is not from the AW 25 show but I wanted to give you a more mature look.

Woman with shoulder-length hair and soft smile in cozy room. Wearing a necklace and sweater, green wall with framed artwork behind.

On lips choose warm shades like Smitten and Petite Color Sticks with either Skinny Dip, Cacao and Uptown Girl Lip Gloss. Apply a coordinating creamy Color Stick as blush on your cheeks and blend it slightly onto your eyelids. Be sure to stay in the warm pink or neutral tones.

This look is flattering for all skin tones and especially suits women of the PNW who appreciate natural, earthy colors.

How to pull it off:

  • Use creamy products on lips and cheeks like our Color Sticks for a dewy finish.

  • Blend well to avoid harsh lines.

  • Keep your skin fresh with a light foundation or BB cream.
